Members and non-members ask what the benefits are to being a member of the Iowa Dental Laboratory Association and what does your membership pay for? The most important benefit is supporting the Dental Technology industry through the IDLA at the state and national levels. Membership dues help pay for our NADL membership, which provides the IDLA with resources for continuing education courses and legislation at the state and national levels. Membership dues also help pay expenses associated with planning the Prairieland EXPO state meeting. The IDLA needs dues paid in July to create and produce the brochures, exhibitor forms, advertising, and down payments for the state meeting facilities. The website is another benefit supported by the membership. The website is a great way to communicate and advertise new topics and events.

As a thank you for paying your membership in July, members and their laboratory technicians will receive a discount at the Prairieland EXPO meeting in January 2011. Members will save on average $140.00 per attendee. Membership dues are due in July annually. IDLA will not be accepting late payments; therefore, you will not get the IDLA member discount if you do not renew in July.

  7. Some members SAVE enough money in meeting registration discounts to pay a year's dues. If you are a member, employees of your laboratory may also attend meetings at a discounted price.
